Job Description

As a Principal UX Designer, you will contribute to IFS Cloud, shaping the user experience for the latest IFS products, including the framework and a suite of business applications.

As a Principal UX Designer, your role includes:

  • Collaborating with Product Managers, Program Managers, development teams, and other UX Designers, to gather and evaluate requirements.
  • Mapping and understanding user journeys and technical limitations.
  • Creating user flows, wireframes, and other relevant design deliverables.
  • Designing enterprise software solutions based on the IFS Design System and existing guidelines.
  • Validating designs using appropriate methods, such as expert reviews, heuristic evaluations or usability testing.
  • Contributing to the definition, formalization, and improvement of design processes within IFS.
  • Promoting design thinking at the corporate level.
  • Educating, mentoring, and motivating less-experienced UX designers, product teams, and other stakeholders through engaging presentations and other knowledge-sharing activities.

All of this is to create usable, enjoyable, fit-for-purpose, and enterprise-grade software.

You are a driven and creative UX professional who is fluent in established design methodologies (including Lean UX, Agile UX, and Design Sprints). You possess strong logical thinking, the ability to understand complex systems and processes, and a solid technical foundation. You thrive on turning complexity into simple, scalable solutions and have extensive experience in the UX field. We’ll prioritize candidates with experience in enterprise software solutions.

You are proficient in collaborative interface design tools (we work in Figma) and possibly other graphic editors, prototyping, and wireframing software. You stay up to date with current trends in UX and have a solid understanding of design principles, including, but not limited to visual ones such as layout, typography, and color theory. It is beneficial if you’ve been actively involved with WCAG and the EU AI Act before.

You bring creative ideas and techniques for productive and engaging collaboration and are comfortable working in virtual and multicultural environments.

You will be part of a great UX team with many experienced professionals, so we hope you are a strong team player who can navigate stakeholder relationships and has a solid understanding of the design process as a whole. We encourage curiosity and critical thinking and value a proactive approach to problem-solving.

We embrace flexibility and hybrid work opportunities to support diverse needs and lifestyles, while also valuing inclusive workplace experiences. By fostering a sense of community, we drive innovation, strengthen connections, and nurture belonging. Our commitment ensures you can work in a way that suits you best, while also engaging with colleagues to share ideas and build meaningful relationships.
