Senior Backend Software Engineer at KMS Technology

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will be a critical contributor to our backend systems, focusing on robust and scalable solutions. This role demands high proficiency in Node.js and significant experience with identity management systems to build secure and high-performance applications. You will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining the core services that power our products.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy highly scalable and reliable backend services using Node.js.

• Lead the integration and management of identity solutions (e.g., Okta, Active Directory) to ensure secure authentication and authorization.

• Architect and implement APIs and microservices to support various client applications.

• Collaborate closely with front-end engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver comprehensive solutions.

• Optimize application performance, security, and maintainability.

• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to best practices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across the backend stack.

• High proficiency and extensive experience in backend development with Node.js.

• Demonstrated experience with identity management systems, including Okta and Active Directory.

• Strong understanding of API design principles (RESTful, GraphQL) and microservices architecture.

• Proficiency in database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL).

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico (working from home within Mexico- office won't be mandatory all the time, rather it will required from time to time).
