Job Title: Senior Presales Consultant
Location: Tokyo, Japan

The job
The Senior Presales Consultant at AVEVA plays a key role in supporting sales growth by delivering technical expertise, demonstrating solution value, and addressing customer needs. The role involves customer-facing activities such as presentations, solution demonstrations, and technical consultations. Candidates should have 2–5 years of experience in presales or a related engineering field, with at least 2 years of experience in process simulation, along with a solid understanding of AVEVA’s portfolio and industry challenges.
Key responsibilities
• Enable sales growth through the AVEVA by driving revenue by qualifying leads
• Communicating the value proposition of our solutions to prospects or partners, at presentations, industry
events, and seminars
• Contributing to the planning, creation, development, and delivery of demonstrations that prove the value
of our solutions
• Engaging prospects to understand their specific needs and problems, and contributing to the
development of appropriate technical solutions
• Understand the AVEVA portfolio and how to position it
• Support proof of concepts and/or pilots
• Contribute to the definition of standardization
• Obtain and maintain the customer’s confidence and respect as the technical solution expert
Essential requirements
• University degree in bachelor or master
• Typically, 2-5 years of experience in Technical Sales, Presales or Business Development
• Working experience in a related engineering position that includes process simulations, process design,
process operations, or an equivalent technical role
• Proven 2 years or more experience of AVEVA products (DYNSIM, PRO/II, APS) or similar technologies •
English communication experiences with oversea clients and/or colleagues
• Proven experience with technical presentation, demonstration and proposal.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Prospects: Develop good working relationships with clients and always provide the highest level of
customer service and professionalism
• Sales: Work with the Sales team in identifying opportunities, providing support at all levels of
engagement, and ensuring throughout those proposed solutions are feasible and in line with AVEVA’s
strategic objectives
• Technical: Work within a dynamic team and show flexibility in the use and development of personal and
technical skills to maximize the team’s efficiency
• Extensive experience providing IT infrastructure support to large user groups that require high
performance connectivity and availability
• Ability to coach and mentor junior employees

Hybrid working
