Installation Engineer - Greater London & Home Counties
FAFS Fire & Security is a leading provider of automatic Fire Detection, Protection and Alarm Systems in and around Greater London. We are currently seeking an experienced Installation Engineer to join our team and carry out installations of fire systems.
You will assist the installation department in the delivery of installation works to our high standards and ensure all works are completed to all legislative and British Standard requirements, including associated accreditation bodies' schemes from BAFE, LPCB, FIA, and others as required
Basic Salary – £36,000 DOE
Responsibilities
- Conduct installations of fire detection, protection, and alarm systems
- Installation and repair Fire Detection, Access Control, Door Entry, Intruder Alarm, CCTV systems and other associated systems to the required standards and regulations.
- Ensuring all clients are kept up to date in all areas of work and are satisfied with all completed works.
- To comply with Health & Safety requirements, as well as to understand why these procedures are in place.
- Coordinate with other team members and project managers to ensure successful project delivery
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times
Requirements
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience in all areas of Fire Detection, Access Control, CCTV, Intruder Alarm Systems, and other associated equipment.
- Experience in all general installation disciplines, including tray, trunking, box trunking, tube (galvanised and plastic), Pyro, and all other compliant methods.
- Good knowledge of British/European Standards and all other relevant codes of practice in the industry.
- Have good organisational and time management skills, able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision and able to resolve issues in a logical manner.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to complete detailed work reports and communicate with customers in a positive manner.
- Have the ability to form good working relationships with colleagues, customers, and outside bodies.
- The ability to understand and disseminate specifications and technical drawings.
- To be able to display initiative and to have strong attention to detail and drive to deliver/succeed.
- The ability to use laptops and associated software for both commissioning and operational purposes.
