This opportunity is ideal for someone who is a strong Project Manager with a deep understanding of Product Management. You will work closely with our prospects and current customers to ensure their product requirements are met. In addition, you will manage a strong development team guiding them when deadlines and priorities change.
This role will work on both internal and external development projects.
The Product & Project Manager will also collaborate in other project management initiatives as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Manage product development throughout the Product Lifecycle
- Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements
- Participate in defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap
- Identify business objectives that a product or feature will fulfill
- Work closely with engineering, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver winning products
- Articulate what success looks like for a product, and rallies a team to turn that vision into a reality
- Act as the customer advocate articulating the user’s and/or buyer’s needs.
- Participate in translating business-to-technical requirements, and vice versa
- Monitor the market and develop competitive analyses
- Determine and define project scope and objectives
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Monitor progress and adjust as needed
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
- Apply agile project management principles to the development of products, and projects management
- Participate in other project management initiatives and tasks as needed
- Build and maintain timelines (e.g., sprints, milestones, Gantt charts)
- Run stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives (if Agile/Scrum)
- Remove roadblocks and keep the team unblocked and productive
- Translate technical progress into plain English for execs and clients
- Manage expectations around timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Document decisions, changes, and risks
- Identify resource needs and gaps (people, tools, skills)
- Flag scope creep or technical debt before it kills the timeline
- Adjust plans based on shifting priorities or unexpected issues
- Own the post-mortem
- Improve workflows (think: CI/CD, sprint efficiency, handoff clarity)
- Track KPIs like cycle time, velocity, and delivery accuracy
- Advocate for tools/processes that support scale and quality
