Job Description
As a Pre-Sales Consultant at Wavenet, you'll play a vital role in shaping client solutions by aligning our innovative technical portfolio with customer needs. You’ll be responsible for preparing compelling proposals and quotes, working collaboratively with internal teams and partners to create best-fit solutions.
This associate-level position offers an excellent career pathway with the potential to progress to a Pre-Sales Solution Architect role as you gain experience and demonstrate capability.
What You'll Be Doing
Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Understanding customer scope and recommending suitable solutions from Wavenet’s portfolio.
Preparing proposals and supporting documentation for internal bid review and client submissions.
Drafting technical designs and solution descriptions based on standard templates.
Supporting bids and tender responses including solution design, pricing, and partner engagement.
Collaborating with other technical specialists on complex, multi-discipline solutions.
Assisting architects by preparing presentation materials and documentation.
Creating accurate pricing schedules for contract submissions.
Staying up to date with Wavenet offerings and wider industry developments.
Attending training and maintaining certifications relevant to your role.
Ensuring compliance with Wavenet’s governance, security, health and safety policies.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to bring:
Strong understanding of network technologies and topologies, such as:
WAN / SD-WAN / LAN / WLAN / SASE
Experience in delivering Connectivity solutions.
Industry-recognised accreditations (e.g., Fortinet, Extreme, Cisco).
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams.
Experience working in the UK IT Services market.
Understanding of customer environments, technical designs, and industry best practices.
Experience contributing to technical proposals or bid responses.
Strong written and verbal communication.
A proactive and adaptable mindset with a team-focused attitude.
