Job Description

Are you a creative and passionate student with a keen eye for detail? Do you enjoy researching information? Do you have a talent for conveying information clearly and engagingly? Then we have a great opportunity for you!

As a student course writer, you will be co-responsible for revising and rewriting the course material for the course project and site management. You will work with the professor and his assistant to renew and optimize the existing content (in Dutch and English) to better meet the current needs of our students. You will explore various fields, summarize complex topics, and transform them into a clear and engaging presentation.

Responsibilities:

• Revise and rewrite course material (coursework and presentations) to clarify and enhance content.
• Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy and relevance of information, including actual data.
• Collaborate with Prof. Van Steirteghem, his assistant, and other subject matter experts to incorporate feedback and improve the quality of the courses.
• Adhere to deadlines and work efficiently within a dynamic environment

Qualifications

• Student in civil engineering, 4th or 5th year.
• Available as from end of July – September 2025 (negotiable).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Familiarity with academic writing and the ability to collect and convey complex information clearly.
• Proactive attitude, results-oriented, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and be a team player.
• Embrace the latest technologies and utilise them wisely and efficiently.
