We are seeking a Field-Based professional to serve our clients across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire regions.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with regular travel to customer properties in areas such as Lincoln, Doncaster, Sheffield, and Nottingham. Proximity to major transport links, including the M1 and A1 corridors, is highly desirable.

In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront, guiding potential customers through our cutting-edge decarbonisation solutions, leading with air source heat pumps and EV charging, while engaging with colleagues selling solar and batteries.
As a Technical Sales Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in guiding potential customers through our renewable offering journey in domestic properties. You’ll be offering our renewable solutions to customers in their homes, who have been introduced as warm leads through a variety of sources. You'll play a key role in helping the team achieve stretching sales targets through relationship-led, consultative selling using a proven methodology. Our sales journey is detail-rich and technically complex, often spanning up to three months, so patience, perseverance, and sharp objection-handling skills are essential.
Your role is all about building relationships, asking the right questions, and making the complex feel simple. You'll be converting interest into surveys and sales, delivering standout service and expertise via calls, video meetings, and emails — ensuring every customer interaction leaves a lasting, positive impression.
Responsibilities:
Sales Targets: Consistently achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Lead Conversion: Respond promptly to inbound leads generated through marketing activity, converting interest into action.
Pipeline Growth: Drive the expansion of our domestic pipeline, with a focus on Heat and EV solutions.
Consultation Scheduling: Schedule and coordinate design consultations with our field-based survey teams.
Virtual Consultations: When needed, guide customers through virtual design consultation, supporting them from initial interest through to pre-sale.
Informed Design Support: Use a consultative approach to help customers make well-informed design decisions and minimise rework.
Design Amendments: Implement design changes independently where needed, with support from the design team.
Customer Management: Build and manage relationships from initial enquiry through to installation and commissioning.
Exceptional Service: Deliver tailored, expert support that builds trust and enhances the customer journey, whilst ensuring up to date and accurate customer records within our CRM.
Operational Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations team to ensure smooth project delivery and excellent service.
Ongoing Learning: Stay informed on product specifications and market developments through regular training.
Team Contribution: Support your colleagues by sharing insights and assisting in internal training efforts.
Brand Ambassador: Represent Good Energy at customer-facing events with enthusiasm, professionalism, and deep product knowledge.
