Account Manager – Drive Success, Build Relationships, and Make an Impact!

Looking for a role where you can truly make a difference? As an Account Manager at Biffa, you'll be at the heart of managing relationships with our corporate clients, driving growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and keeping everything running like clockwork.

Location – Hybrid/remote (ideally midlands based).

Hours - Monday to Friday, 8:30-5:00. 1 day in a local office and the rest remote, however this can change on occasion.

While this is advertised externally as an Account Manager internally this role transitions to a Compliance Manager.  

A quick look at the role.

The compliance manager will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our customers on producer compliance areas such as Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Packaging, Extended Producer responsibility (EPR), Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT).

Your core responsibilities.

  • Member communication and account management of key clients
  • To provide guidance, knowledge and support on technical queries in regards to Extended Producer responsibility (EPR) including Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Packaging and Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT)
  • Manager your audit schedule and ensure you achieve target set and follow the process to ensure all audits are documented and actions taken
  • Responsible for recruitment and retention of compliance customers
  • To provide first line support to members and internal departments.
  • Ensure up to date on Legislation changes.
  • Ensure compliance with all QA procedures in line with job tasks.
  • Support through compliance submission periods

Requirements

Our essential requirements.

  • Advantageous to have knowledge of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Packaging, Extended Producer responsibility (EPR), Plastic Packaging Tax and its practical application.
  • Excellent Customer service and account management skills.
