Account Manager at YouGov
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our YouGov Public commercial team in our London office. As an Account Manager at YouGov, your core objective is to drive the achievement of sales targets for the YouGov Public department, focusing on cross-selling and upselling YouGov's full product suite to our public sector clients, ultimately increasing the value of your account group year on year.
Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):
Drive Account Growth:
- Manage revenue from a sales territory of named accounts across the public sector, spanning political, Government, charities, and other public bodies.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cross-selling and upselling YouGov products to existing and new clients.
- Lead delivery and follow-up on marketing campaigns by prospecting to potential clients.
Client Relationship Management:
- Directly manage clients who subscribe to YouGov’s Data Products, ensuring they maximise their investment and renew their licenses.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within client organisations, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Handle incoming enquiries and maintain day-to-day client relationships within the YouGov Public Sector territory.
- Manage and support research proposals in response to client needs.
Account Planning & Operations:
- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive account plans for your clients.
- Utilise YouGov’s CRM systems (specifically Salesforce) to maintain accurate records of sales activity.
- Support the team’s account planning process, helping to update essential documents and strategic plans.
These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:
- Demonstrated successful experience in a performance-driven sales/Account Management role, ideally with knowledge of subscription products and sales.
- Proven ability to develop and grow a portfolio of clients.
- Confident communicator with excellent numerical skills and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage time effectively, and strong attention to detail.
