We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the Protocol Analysis & Remediation project from initiation through completion for a client. This engagement focuses on reducing risks associated with lateral movement, insecurity protocol usage, and aligning with zero trust architecture.  This role is pivotal to ensuring the project’s success in enhancing the security posture of the organization by managing planning, execution, monitoring, and closure activities across all phases of the project lifecycle, while driving measurable outcomes that enhance the organization’s security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end project management of the Protocol Analysis & Remediation initiative.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines in alignment with project goals and organizational standards.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including technical SMEs, security architects, and business stakeholders, to ensure timely and effective delivery of project milestones.

  • Proactively identify, document, and manage project risks, issues, and change requests.

  • Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards and align with the organization’s cybersecurity objectives.

  • Provide regular project updates and dashboards to senior management, stakeholders, and the wider project team.

  • Lead and facilitate recurring project meetings, sprint planning (if applicable), and status reviews.

Qualifications

Who You Are

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing technology or cybersecurity-related projects.

  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within scope, and on budget.

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.

  • Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are highly desirable.

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and drive accountability.

  • Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and managing expectations across technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience managing budgets, resource allocations, and project schedules.

  • Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps (ADO) Boards, Clarity PPM, or similar platforms.

  • Experience supporting protocol based security initiatives, zero trust strategies or collaborating with architecture and engineering teams on remediation programs
