Job Description

  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with business stakeholders, product, data warehousing, and engineering teams to define complex, ambiguous problems and solve them with data-driven solutions.  

  • End-to-End Data Ownership: Design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions, metrics, curated data marts, and reporting assets using SQL, Python, dbt, PowerBI and Databricks. 

  • Power BI Platform Ownership: Take full ownership of our Power BI platform, including governance, workspace management, best practices, and end-user enablement.  

  • Data Transformation & Modeling: Provide clean, transformed data using modern ELT/ETL pipelines, with strong experience in DAX, star/snowflake schemas, and data modeling best practices. 

  • Strategic Enablement: Deliver actionable business insights via advanced Power BI dashboards and ad hoc analyses, communicating complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.  

  • Process Improvement: Relentlessly challenge the status quo, driving improvements in efficiency, quality, speed, and cost savings across analytics workflows. 

  • Team Development: Mentor and coach junior analysts and engineers, fostering a high-performing, innovative data culture.  

  • Enablement & Training: Train and empower business users to self-serve analytics solutions and adopt data-driven practices.  

 

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI roles, with advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and DAX.  

  • Proven experience designing and implementing scalable analytics solutions in Databricks, dbt, and Power BI in production environments. 

  • Deep understanding of modern data warehousing concepts, including star/snowflake schema design, medallion schema, data modeling, and curated data marts.  

  • Experience developing and maintaining advanced Power BI dashboards, with strong expertise in DAX. 

  • Strong communication and organizational skills; able to translate business needs into technical solutions and clearly communicate findings.  

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor others, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to a collaborative team culture. 

  • Highly curious, results-oriented, and proactive, with a passion for continuous learning and process improvement.
