Assistant General Counsel Governance and Securities at Lumen Technologies

Lumen is seeking an Assistant General Counsel Governance and Securities to support the SVP in managing Lumen's Governance and Securities. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge base of corporate governance, strong analytical skills, and a sharp eye for detail.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• Licensed to practice law in the state where the attorney is officed
• 12+ years of relevant legal experience, with both law firm and public company experience
• Significant public company experience and in-depth knowledge of public company financial reporting rules and regulations
• Prior practice and experience preparing securities filings, advising on corporate governance matters and overseeing compliance with SEC rules, stock exchange requirements and Section 16 matters
• Experience supporting a public company board of directors, including board portal fluency
• Solid business judgment with a capacity to make decisions and give advice, which demonstrates an understanding of overall business objectives and the related risks/rewards
• Ability to work autonomously
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive personality, eager to learn and grow
• Ability to communicate effectively with a non-legal audience
• Versatile and results-oriented team player
