As an Engineering Manager at Sumerge, you will play a pivotal role in leading our talented team of software engineers. Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, facilitating their development and career growth.
  • Oversee the recruitment and performance management processes within the team.
  • Identify skill gaps and provide training to enhance team capabilities.
  • Set strategic goals for the team and effectively communicate them to stakeholders.
  • Enhance development workflows and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure high-quality technical output from the team, balancing innovative solutions with practical trade-offs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customers and project managers, on roadmap execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in people management and team development.
  • In-depth knowledge of software engineering principles and design practices.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
