Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Quality Technician - 1st Shift. We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segments. The Quality Technician- 1st Shift role offers a full time work week of 40 hours and potential overtime. Hours: 5:00am-1:30pm. Full Benefits and 401k plan is offered to you as a full time employee.Â
The hourly rate for this position is $27.04 per hour.

What you’ll do:
This position will be responsible for inspecting products to ensure they meet company and customer quality expectations.
In this function you will:
•   Perform part and product inspections, document the results, identify and quarantine Non-Conforming (NC) partsÂ
•   Determine the Root Cause of Non-Conforming PartsÂ
•   Verify First Article Inspection (FAI) of all production linesÂ
•   Perform Control and Process audits as scheduledÂ
•   Report inspections and audits using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and WordÂ
•   Create Quality Alerts and notify operators of quality issuesÂ
•   Investigate Non-Conforming Product, use problem-solving techniques to resolve issuesÂ
•   Contribute to pre-production quality planning, including developing Quality Assembly documents, attending product and process reviews and technical training of production personnelÂ
•   Support Manufacturing Engineering in machine capability studies for new and existing machinesÂ
•   Support Gage Calibration SystemÂ
•   Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies
Qualifications:
Required (Basic):
•   High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institutionÂ
•   Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorshipÂ
•   Relocation assistance is not available for this position.  Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50 mile radius) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred:
•   Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematicsÂ
•   Associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology or other technical degreeÂ
•   ASQ Quality Technician Certification preferredÂ
•   3 to 5 years of work experience as a Quality Technician, preferably in the Power industryÂ
•   Six Sigma and Lean certifications and/or experienceÂ
•   Statistical Process ControlÂ
•   Understanding of delta-wye 3 phases transformer and resistive load bank technologyÂ
Skills:
•   Individual may be required to sit, stand and walk regularlyÂ
•   Individual must be able to lift up to 40 pounds throughout work shift .
•   Individual may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, push and/or pull.Â
