サプライチェーン・マスターデータのビジネスインフォメーションマネージャー（BIM）は、組織全体におけるMDM（マスターデータ管理）プロセスの設計、導入、最適化を監督する責任を担います。この役割は、事業部門、変革プログラムの機能担当者、マスターデータ管理チーム（MDM）のメンバー、外部パートナー、そして各地域のデジタル＆情報技術（D&IT）担当者と密接に連携し、企業全体でデータの一貫性、正確性、品質を確保することを含みます。BIMは、グローバルなマスターデータ管理プロセスがビジネスニーズに合致し、価値を提供し、確立された標準やデータガバナンスの枠組みに準拠していることを保証します。

【主な業務内容】

グローバル

戦略とガバナンス

• グローバルなMDM（マスターデータ管理）イニシアチブを支援し、グローバルな整合性と地域・ローカルのビジネスニーズのバランスを取る。
• ガバナンスの観点からマスターデータ運用に責任を持ち、確立されたMDMポリシーおよび手順の遵守を確保する。
• 主要なマスターデータ領域（例：品目、ベンダー、顧客）が定義されたガバナンス手法に従い、ライフサイクル全体を通じて管理されることを保証する。
• CAB（変更諮問委員会）、GLE（グローバルローンチエクセレンス）、NPI（新製品導入）などのガバナンスフォーラムでMDMチームを代表する。

データ品質と標準

• サンテンの全体的なMDM戦略に沿った、高品質で一貫性のあるマスターデータの価値を推進する。
• 信頼性の高いビジネスインサイトを支えるため、データ品質と一貫性を確保する重要な推進役・基盤となる。
• データ標準、標準作業手順書（SOP）、トレーニング資料など、最新のドキュメント作成・維持に貢献する。
• MDMのベストプラクティスが組織全体に伝達され、採用されることを確保する。

運用とビジネスサポート

• 新製品のローンチやプロセス改善を含む、MDM関連の業務やプロジェクト要件において、ビジネスユーザーへのガイダンスと日々の運用サポートを提供する。
• 通常業務（BAU）のMDM活動を担当するDataOpsチームと密接に連携する。
• DataOpsチーム、AMSサポート、外部コンサルタントなど、社内チームメンバーへのサポートとコーチングを提供する。

システム、ツール、統合

• SAPセンターオブエクセレンス（CoE）と協力し、SAP S/4HANA内でのMDMの効果的な運用と統合を確保する。
• SemarchyなどのMDMシステム・ツールを管理・監督し、データが一貫して維持され、ビジネスユーザーに提供されることを保証する。
• システム統合とデータフローがビジネスプロセスを支援し、プラットフォーム間でデータの整合性が保たれるようにする。

ステークホルダーエンゲージメントと部門横断的な連携

• 財務、サプライチェーン、製造、商業、マーケティング、品質、規制など、主要なビジネス機能のデータオーナーや専門家（SME）と強固で協力的な関係を構築する。
• ビジネス変革と価値創造を可能にするMDMの役割を積極的に推進する。

日本

• 日本のビジネスステークホルダーと連携し、現行のマスターデータ管理プロセスを理解した上で、日本ビジネスを支援するMDM組織を構築し、共通のデータガバナンスフレームワークに取り込む。
• 日本におけるマスターデータ管理関連のイニシアチブおよびサポートの単一窓口として、ビジネス変革プロジェクトを支援する。ローカルのビジネス機能と連携し、現行プロセスを理解した上で、グローバルプロセスへの変革を支援する。
• 日本における現行のマスターデータ運用サポートを評価し、DataOpsチームが管理するグローバルデータ運用サポートとの整合の機会を探る。
• マスターデータの観点から、日本の戦略的ビジネス変革プロジェクトを支援する。

【POSITION PURPOSE】

The Business Information Manager (BIM) for Supply Chain Master Data is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of MDM processes across the organization. This role involves working closely with business units, functional colleagues in the transformation program, members in Master Data Management team (MDM), external partners, and Digital & Information Technology(D&IT) colleagues across regions to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and quality throughout the enterprise. The BIM ensures that global master data management processes are aligned with business needs, deliver value, and comply with established standards and data governance frameworks

As the BIM for Supply Chain, you play a pivotal role in Santen’s global business transformation. You bring a unique end-to-end understanding of supply chain master data—how it’s structured, how it flows, and how it directly impacts day-to-day operations. With strong personal drive and enthusiasm, you lead key data initiatives, unite cross-functional teams, and champion data management processes that deliver real business value. Beyond managing data projects and supporting rollout activities, you help embed sustainable data practices, roles, and applications, while driving continuous improvement through data cleansing and migration efforts

This is a key data role for a high potential person who is looking for a solid career in the field of data management and governance within a global pharma company. You would play mostly global role but at the same time also leverage your local presence in Japan to assist regional responsibilities.

Global Responsibilities:

Strategy & Governance

• Support global MDM initiatives, balancing global alignment with regional and local business needs.
• Take responsibility for master data operations from a governance perspective and ensure adherence to established MDM policies and procedures.
• Ensure key master data domains (e.g., Material, Vendor, Customer) are managed across their full lifecycle using defined governance practices.
• Represent the MDM team in governance forums such as CAB (Change Advisory Board), GLE (Global Launch Excellence), and NPI (New Product Introduction).

Data Quality & Standards

• Promote the value of high-quality, consistent master data, aligned with Santen’s overall MDM strategy.
• Act as a key enabler and cornerstone for ensuring data quality and consistency to support reliable business insights.
• Contribute to and maintain up-to-date documentation, including data standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
• Ensure MDM best practices are communicated and adopted across the organization.

Operations & Business Support

• Provide guidance and daily operational support to business users in their MDM-related tasks and project requirements, including new product launches and process improvements.
• Collaborate closely with the DataOps team responsible for business-as-usual (BAU) MDM activities.
• Provide support and coaching to internal team members, including the DataOps team, AMS support, and external consultants.

Systems, Tools & Integration

• Collaborate with the SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) to ensure the effective operation and integration of MDM within SAP S/4HANA.
• Manage and oversee MDM systems and tools (e.g., Semarchy), ensuring that data is consistently maintained and made available to business users.
• Ensure system integrations and data flows support business processes and maintain data integrity across platforms.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-functional Collaboration
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with data owners and subject matter experts (SMEs) across key business functions such as Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Commercial, Marketing, Quality, and Regulatory.
• Actively advocate for the role of MDM in enabling business transformation and value creation.

Regional Responsibilities (Japan)

• Connect with business stakeholders in Japan, understand the current master data management processes and develop MDM organization to support Japan business and bring into the common data governance framework.
• Single point of contact for master data management related initiatives and support in Japan for the business transformation project. Work with local business functions, understand the current process and support the transformation into global processes.
• Evaluate the current master data operation support in Japan and explore opportunity to align it with Global data operation support managed by DataOps team.
• Support strategic business transformation project in Japan from master data perspective.

• サプライチェーンプロセスおよび関連データの経験
• ライフサイエンス業界での経験があれば理想的であり、尚可
• SAP S/4HANAなどのERP経験があれば尚可

【好ましい経験】

• グローバルまたはリージョナルレベルでのデータ管理経験、部門横断的なMDMプロセス管理、MDMツール（SantenではSemarchyおよびS4HANAを使用）の実務経験、ワークフロー管理、データ処理
• データ品質管理および/またはガバナンス、保守プロセス、データクレンジング＆移行、基本的なデータモデリングの責任遂行経験
• MDMイニシアチブの管理、継続的改善、チェンジマネジメントの経験
• 品目、製品、顧客、ベンダーなどの主要なマスターデータ管理経験
• ERPビジネスプロセスの理解およびエンドツーエンドのサプライチェーンにおける高品質なマスターデータの重要性の理解
• サプライチェーンまたはマスターデータの観点からのERP実務経験
• （ビジネス）要件の文書化、ワークショップの運営または企画、データモデリング、プロセスマッピング、IT仕様書の作成経験
• 複数の製品ローンチ、プロセス変更、地理的に広がる多数のビジネスユーザーがいる、動的かつ複雑な環境での業務経験

Qualifications:

• Japanese proficiency and Business level English proficiency is must.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Over 8 years of working experience in IT while at least 5 years in data domains.
• Experience of working with at least one MDM tool and end-to-end MDM implementation
• Experience of Supply chain processes and relevant associated data.
• Life science industry experience would be ideal an added advantage.
• ERP experience like SAP S/4HANA experience would be an added advantage.

Experience:

• Data management at global or regional level; Cross functional MDM process management, hands-on experience in an MDM tool (Santen uses Semarchy and S4HANA), workflow management, data processing
• Experience in executing responsibility for managing data quality and/or, governance, maintenance processes, cleansing & migration, basic data modeling.
• Experience in managing MDM initiatives, continuous improvement, and Change Management.
• Experience in managing key master data like Material, Product, Customer, Vendor etc.
• Understanding of ERP business process and importance of high-quality master data in end-to-end supply chain.
• Working experience with ERP from a Supply chain or master data perspective.
• Experience in documenting (business) requirements, running or organizing workshops, data modeling, process mapping, writing IT specifications.
• Experience working in a dynamic and complex environment with multiple product launches, process changes, and numerous business users across geographies.
