Position Summary:

The Business Relationship Manager plays a critical role in driving client satisfaction, loan volume, and retention within Anchor’s RTL-focused Debt & Equity Broker and Boutique Private Lender channel. This individual serves as the primary relationship owner for high-value clients, ensuring a seamless experience from onboarding through funding. By combining deep product knowledge with operational excellence and strategic insight, the Business Relationship Manager helps clients structure successful deals, navigate the loan process efficiently, and maximize their partnership with Anchor. This role is ideal for a proactive, client-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary responsible party for relationships that produce over $250 million of annual volume with 70% pull-through in the RTL Focused D&E Brokers and Boutique Private Lender channel

  • Onboard 50 clients per year, and maintain Active relationships / funding retention of 75% year over year

  • Become an expert in Anchor’s products and guidelines and be able to deftly advise clients on projects / initial structuring

  • Maintain average pre-submission to submission timelines of less than 5 business days and submission to funding timelines of less than 20 business days

  • Achieve customer satisfaction of 85%.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of experience in client success, relationship management, or loan operations within real estate finance, private lending, or mortgage banking.

  • Proven track record managing high-volume client portfolios and achieving retention and satisfaction goals.

  • Deep understanding of real estate loan products, especially in the RTL (Residential Transitional Lending) space.

  • Strong knowledge of loan structuring, underwriting processes, and funding workflows.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and internal teams.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple client pipelines and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems, loan origination platforms, and productivity tools (e.g., Salesforce, Encompass, Microsoft Office Suite).

  • Client-obsessed with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Work Environment:

This is a hybrid position which requires in-office reporting to Anchor’s Thousand Oaks, CA or our Charlotte, NC office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Remote work is optional Monday and Friday.

Fully remote opportunities are available as well.

Compensation:

The base pay range for this position is $75,000 to $100,000 per year, plus a comprehensive incentive bonus plan.
