Digital Account Manager at Clarivate Analytics
Job Description
Clarivate is hiring a Digital Account Manager to lead sales of EndNote and RefWorks across Latin America and Canada—a strategic role based in Mexico City that’s key to expanding our footprint in these high-potential markets. This individual will manage a portfolio of existing clients while driving new business across academic, government, non-profit, and corporate sectors. Success in this role hinges on deep product knowledge, cultural fluency, and the ability to build strong, localized relationships that accelerate revenue growth.
With dedicated coverage aligned to regional time zones, languages, and engagement styles, this role is essential to unlocking growth in LATAM and maintaining strong support for Canadian clients. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments…
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year undergraduate) or equivalent relevant work experience
- 5+ years of sales experience, including at least 1 year in inside sales, with a proven success record
- Full professional proficiency in both Spanish and English (spoken and written)
- Proficiency in Salesforce.com, MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
It would be great if you also had…
- Proficiency in French
- 3+ years of software sales or subscription-based platforms sales experience
- Experience in the information services or academic software industry
- Background working with universities, publishers, corporations, and government/non-profit organizations engaged in research and discovery is a plus
What will you be doing in this role?
- Act as the product and usage expert for EndNote and RefWorks, with a strong understanding of client workflows, use cases, and value drivers.
- Translate customer pain points into solutions, demonstrating how Clarivate products deliver measurable value.
- Achieve/exceed territory sales plan by meeting retention and new business targets (subscription and transactional).
- Forecast accurately to your direct manager with ongoing communication throughout each month.
- Work efficiently with customers and leads by following Clarivate’s sales cycle and defined Salesforce processes.
- Maintain a strong understanding of competitor products and articulate differentiation strategies.
- Build long-term relationships in the academic, government, non-profit, and corporate sectors within Latin America and Canada.
- Maintain adequate telephone, email, and MS Teams meeting volumes as defined by Sales Management.
- Create and update account profiles, actively hunt for new business, provide quotes, set up demonstrations, and book deals in Salesforce.com.
- Share customer insights, product knowledge, and sales best practices across the team.
