Human Resources Generalist at GHJ
Job Description
A growing, fast-paced organization is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join its team. This role will play a key part in supporting the full employee lifecycle — from onboarding and employee relations to benefits administration and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day HR operations across multiple functions including onboarding, benefits, payroll coordination, and HRIS updates.
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance on policies, benefits, and general HR matters.
- Partner with managers to address employee relations issues and promote positive workplace culture.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with HR projects such as performance reviews, compensation reviews, and engagement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of HR experience in a generalist capacity.
- Strong understanding of California employment laws and regulations.
- Experience with HRIS systems (Workday, BambooHR, or similar).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Start-up industry experience preferred.
