Job Description

The Accountant is responsible for managing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards and company policies while assisting with audits, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

This role is fully onsite in Norfolk VA

Salary: $70-80,000/year

Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including journal entries and account analysis.

Prepare and post monthly accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.

Support payroll entries, expense reports, and other related accounting functions.

Prepare financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements for management review.

Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and documentation.

Requirements:

4+ years accounting experience

QuickBooks experience
