Senior Java Developer (Open Job2 Remote) at SmartDev

• Reviewing the existing systems and find ways to improve 

• Work closely with the team and be a team member and an active team player 

• Enhancements on existing JAVA applications 

• Upgrades of existing JAVA applications to latest technology 

• Review and propose solutions for new projects

• Able to work with the team to develop solutions that matches the requirements 

• Able to work with other departments to ensure the solutions developed matches the other departments’ expectations. 

• Able to communicate with external customers when needed 

• Able to work hard when needed to deliver tasks given within the required timeline 

• Able to write application specification and requirements when needed 

• Able to do proper testing and guide team for testing 

• Proper application monitoring post deployment 

• Able to troubleshoot issues quickly and propose a solution 

• Able to do implementations matching back the specifications 

• Able to identify any weaknesses with the implementation and suggests and improvements 

Background & Experience

• Strong written and spoken English language skills 

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with enterprise level application utilizing JAVA Technologies 

• Familiarities with the following JAVA Frameworks: 

+ Spring Framework including Hibernate 

+ JAVA Server-Side Technologies 

+ JAX-WS with CXF 

+ Rest and JSON 

• Unit Testing and Integrated Testing 

• Familiarity with the following databases 

+ MySQL 

+ Knowledge of Oracle / Tibero is a plus 

• Familiarity with Financial Industry is a plus 

• Understanding of the following concepts: 

+ Proper Object-Oriented Programming 

+ Software Design Patterns and Anti-Patterns 

+ IOC / MVC 

• Knowledge of the following tools: 

+ Git / Bitbucket 

+ Jira 

+ Jenkins 

+ Sonarqube / Fortify 

• Familiarity with Going Live activities: 

+ CI/CD Pipeline 

+ AWS Deployment 

+ On Premise – Jboss / Tomcat Deployment
