The role

We are looking for a Senior Shopify Developer to join our ecommerce team and lead the development of scalable, high-performance Shopify solutions.
This role requires someone proactive, who takes ownership end-to-end, communicates effectively with stakeholders, and ensures technical excellence throughout the entire development lifecycle.

What you’ll do

• Evaluate business requirements and UX/UI designs to define technical tasks aligned with best practices.

• Participate in discovery, estimation, planning, and sprint cycles with Product Owners and Tech Leads.

• Develop high-quality Shopify storefronts using Liquid, modern JavaScript, and Shopify APIs.

• Implement and maintain custom themes, apps, integrations, and performance optimizations.

• Ensure quality through testing, documentation, and code reviews.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, QA, backend).

• Stay up-to-date with Shopify ecosystem updates, trends, and tooling.

What you need

• 4+ years of experience working with Shopify and Shopify Plus.

• Strong expertise with Liquid, theme development, and custom Shopify app creation.

• Solid knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), and experience with React or Vue.

• Experience working with Shopify APIs, webhooks, and headless commerce architectures.

• Familiarity with ecommerce flows: products, inventory, carts, checkout, customers, and orders.

• Experience with version control (Git), testing, and CI/CD workflows.

• Strong communication skills and experience working with U.S.-based teams (a strong plus).

• Bonus: Backend experience with Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or PHP.
