Senior/Lead Mechanical and Piping Engineer at Wood

Wood is recruiting a Senior/Lead Mechanical and Piping Engineer to join its Canadian operations, focusing on projects in the Bioproducts sector. This opportunity is remote. The role will support Bioproduct projects (Pulp and paper), primarily located in Eastern Canada, ensuring compliance with company procedures, codes, and safety standards while coordinating multidisciplinary and distributed teams, and supporting project execution.

Requirements

• Provide technical expertise and leadership in FEED/detailed engineering
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and quality systems
• Coordinate and lead work with distributed teams and work-share offices
• Monitor team performance and forecast resource needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with provincial and federal codes, standards, and safety regulations
• Support procurement, vendor selection, and technical bid evaluations
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies throughout the project lifecycle
• Stay current with industry standards and tools, and implement improvements
• Promote a safety culture
