Lead Actuary of Alternative Risk Transfer at Brown & Brown Insurance

Nexus Specialty Casualty is seeking a Lead Actuary of Alternative Risk Transfer to join our growing team! The Lead Actuary plays a key role in building, developing and executing the growth of the ART business for Nexus Specialty Inc. in the USA.

Requirements

• Actuarial designation of ACAS. FCAS is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience; ART modeling is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Actuarial Science or related field.
• Ability to work independently and autonomously, while taking direction.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to separate the important information from the unimportant, as well as to work with ambiguous and incomplete information.
• Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is very advantageous.
• Strong technical pricing skills with knowledge of exposure-based pricing, experience modelling, catastrophe modelling, stochastic techniques, and predictive analytics.
