The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team based in our New York, NY office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES 

• Preparation of journal entries in conformity with US GAAP and Company policy. 
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analyze P&L accounts. 
• Review disbursements to ensure proper coding and adherence to Company policy. 
• Prepare monthly rollforwards. 
• Preparation of quarterly and annual financial reporting schedules. 
• Coordinate preparation of requested data for internal and external auditors. 
• Research accounting issues as requested. 
• Assist in various other accounting related projects as assigned. 

Qualifications (Required & Preferred) 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting 
• CPA and Masters preferred 
• Effective written and oral communication skills 
• Advanced accounting and analytical abilities 
• Effective time management skills; self-starter who works quickly and accurately 
• Ability to work well and excel under tight deadlines and periods of high volume 
• Ability to establish effective interdepartmental relations 
• Ability to establish relationships with business partners. 
• Minimum 2-3 years accounting experience 
• Strong analytical skills with a desire and curiosity to understand and own a process 
• Very strong Excel skills and comfortable learning new systems. 
• Ability to multi task and follow through a task to completion 
• Must have shown upward mobility in prior work experience(s) 
• Must have strong academic credentials 

The base compensation for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 commensurate with experience.
