Ag Data Specialist at Co-op

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Ag Data Solutions Specialist on a temporary 18 month basis on our Ag Solutions team.

This position is a remote opportunity based in Western Canada.

In this role, you’ll bridge technology and operations by training and supporting FCL Ag and retail teams on integrated retail and POS platforms, identifying system gaps, and collaborating with IT and Ag Solutions leadership to strengthen today’s capabilities while informing future system strategy.

What you’ll do:

• Manage and support the retail facing point of sale system: Tronia
• Represent Ag Solutions as a subject matter expert of the POS in related platforms such as PIMS (Product Information Management System).
• Partner with the Analytics Manager to enhance data warehouse reporting and dashboards.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to ensure reporting meets the needs of FCL Ag Solutions and Local Co ops.
• Promote data integrity and efficiency by enabling shared reporting and a single source of truth across teams.
• Develop and maintain operating manuals, FAQs, and knowledge resources to support retail teams and promote consistent, best practice use of Ag systems across the CRS.
• Deliver training and ongoing support to FCL and retail employees through virtual sessions, in person seminars, and direct troubleshooting.
• Support system implementations and transitions by assisting rollout teams, answering functional questions, and ensuring retail locations are fully set up and operational.

The Team: You will work closely with a team of Ag Specialists and will report into the Manager, Analytics Ag Solutions. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, support and customer service.

The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions across the organization including Ag Solutions leaders and Technology,

The Customers: You will demonstrate customer focus while supporting the POS and related platforms for local Co-op employees.

Our Agro team helps to feed and grow Western Canadian communities by sourcing and distributing products and services to local Co-ops in the feed, crop supplies and fertilizer business.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

• Have 1-3 years of retail experience in an Agro environment.
• Have a University Degree in Business or Agriculture (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
• Have strong communication and public speaking skills.
