Technical Engineer (LiveLabs Enablement & Platform Support) at Oracle

We are seeking a Technical Engineer (IC-2) to join the Oracle LiveLabs team. This role focuses on helping workshop authors prepare content, ensuring environments are ready for delivery, and supporting the LiveLabs platform during both day-to-day operations and live events.

In this role, you will assist with workshop creation and validation, support platform operations, and provide technical assistance during hands-on sessions. You will also contribute to platform improvements and automation work as part of the broader team, particularly during non-event periods.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in a technical support, systems engineering, or software-related role.
• Comfortable working in Linux or Unix environments.
• Familiarity with cloud concepts such as compute, networking, storage, and managed services.
• Basic scripting or programming experience (for example Bash, Python, or similar).
• Experience supporting or troubleshooting technical systems or environments.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities, especially during live events.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting or delivering technical workshops, labs, or training environments.
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Familiarity with relational databases or SQL.
• Experience using Git or other version control systems.
• Exposure to web applications or low-code platforms.
• Interest in growing into deeper platform engineering, automation, or workshop development responsibilities over time.
