Senior Heat Pump Field Application Engineer at Octopus Energy

📋 Description

• Interface between product design and field installation teams
• Identify improvements across design, manufacturing, installation, and processes
• Provide technical design guidance to field design teams
• Support heat pump installs; liaise with support, field and operations teams
• Monitor COP/SCOP data for installs; debug issues and log
• Travel to customer sites and Portadown to work with R&D and manufacturing

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
• 5+ years field application experience in heat pumps and refrigeration
• Understanding of heat pump design and HVAC systems
• Deep knowledge of heat pump components, thermodynamics, and power electronics
• Understanding of regulations (MCS, F-gas) and EN specs
• Experience in retrofit and new build heat pump installs
