Company Overview (Mission, Vision LINK, Values LINK)

Teragonia (teragonia.com) is building the first purpose-built AI Operating System for Private Equity–backed companies. Our platform, Astradis, enables PE firms and their portfolio companies to achieve consistent, repeatable value creation throughout the hold period.

Astradis delivers measurable outcomes: 3–5% EBITDA uplift during PE-hold period, rapid bolt-on integration without costly or risky ERP and CRM migrations, and continuous exit readiness through a living CIM embedded directly in the platform.

We already partner with leading mega-sponsors and are defining a new category in the PE value creation stack. Our mission is to give private equity firms a durable, AI-native operating layer across their portfolios.

Job Summary

We are seeking a senior, externally facing leader- MD or Director caliber - from a top-tier investment bank from the Investment Banking division or the Financial Sponsor Coverage group or an equivalent PE-facing enterprise role. This individual will own and expand Teragonia’s relationships with the world’s leading control-oriented buyout firms each managing $15B+ in assets.

The Financial Sponsor Coverage Officer will introduce Astradis to PE investment teams and operating partners, work alongside our Value Orchestration Engineering leaders in pre-sales, and articulate Teragonia’s value directly to CEOs and Presidents of PE-backed companies. Primary stakeholders of Astradis include the investment team, operating partners and the PortCo CEO, since they are the “PortCo EBITDA owners”.

The role is a career-defining opportunity for a leader who is genuinely excited about AI and technology, deeply understands private equity value creation, and wants to shape a new category at global scale. You will report directly to the CEO and operate as a core member of the executive leadership team.

Core Responsibilities

  • Establish and expand trusted relationships with major private equity firms across both investment and operating partner teams.
  • Position Astradis as a portfolio-wide value creation platform for large-cap and mega-cap sponsors.
  • Partner with our Value Orchestration Engineering leaders in pre-sales to articulate Teragonia’s value to CEOs and Presidents of PE-backed companies, own the commercial framing, and develop repeatable playbooks for different sponsor archetypes (mega-cap vs. upper mid-market, sector-focused vs. generalist).
  • Build and scale a high-quality enterprise sales pipeline across sponsors and their portfolios. Develop and enforce qualification criteria for sponsor and portfolio company opportunities.
  • Serve as Teragonia’s senior ambassador at PE conferences, closed-door forums, and executive gatherings.
  • Work with the CEO, and Head of Marketing to ideate, design, and host proprietary events and conferences for PE investors and operators.
  • Serve as an important voice of the sponsor market in product strategy discussions with our Chief AI Officer, CTO and product leadership. Own a structured process for capturing unmet needs, competitive intelligence, and deployment friction from PE interactions to shape roadmap, deployment models, and messaging.
  • Help define and expand Teragonia’s brand among the world’s most influential sponsors.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop future sponsor coverage and enterprise leaders as the organization scales.

Teragonia’s Core Values

This role requires full alignment with Teragonia’s core values:

  • Intellectual Humility: You are confident without ego. You listen deeply, seek truth over certainty, and remain open to being wrong. You respect perspectives from sponsors, operators, engineers, and founders alike.
  • Integrity: You do what you say you will do. You build trust through honesty, transparency, and accountability.
  • Innovation: You believe in purposeful innovation. You are energized by bold ideas and create psychological safety for others to think big, challenge assumptions, and build what has never existed.
  • Kaizen (Continuous Improvement): You believe excellence is built through relentless, incremental progress. Every pitch, meeting, and system gets sharper over time. You leave people and processes better than you found them.
  • Ubuntu (“I am because we are”): You succeed by helping others succeed. You build communities, not just pipelines. You lead with empathy, collaboration, and a shared sense of purpose.

Recruiting Process

Our recruitment process is designed to ensure a thoughtful and comprehensive evaluation of candidates, as well as alignment with the team’s objectives and company values. The process typically involves the following stages:

  • Board Advisor Interviews: Candidates participate in interviews with Teragonia’s Advisory Board members. These conversations focus on Teragonia’s GTM goals and align with the candidate’s background and role expectations.
  • Executive Leadership Interviews: Interviews with the company’s executive leadership. This meeting provides an opportunity to discuss strategic alignment, vision, and long-term contribution to the organization.
  • In-person Superday: The final round is an in-person Superday at Teragonia’s Chicago HQ, which would entail interacting with the broader Teragonia team and having lunch/dinner with senior leadership.

AI Use Disclosure - Teragonia uses artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to support the screening and assessment of applicants.

Accessibility in Recruitment - Teragonia is committed to accessibility. If you require accommodation during any stage of the recruitment process, please notify us in advance.

Flexible Work Policy

We believe in empowering you to work in an environment that optimizes both personal well-being and business results. While remote work can enhance focus and work-life balance, we recognize that in-person collaboration is invaluable for brainstorming, planning, and team building.

Should we later open an office near your location, the same flexible policy would apply. If you're willing to relocate to the New York City metropolitan area, we offer reimbursement for reasonable relocation expenses.
