Power BI Specialist

This is a hands-on, strategic role for a Power BI expert who thrives in greenfield environments. You’ll establish Power BI as our core visualisation platform, design scalable dashboards, and enable smarter decision-making across finance, risk, operations, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models
• Collaborate with data teams and business units to define and deliver insights
• Set up Power BI governance, standards, and best practices
• Train users and promote self-service analytics
• Ensure data accuracy, performance, and security
• Integrate Power BI with systems including Fabric, SQL Server, Excel, and cloud platforms
• Travel to regional offices as needed to support engagement and training

• Proven Power BI experience, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Familiarity with financial and professional services data is a plus
• Comfortable working independently in a newly forming data function
• Willingness to travel across the UK occasionally
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric data engineering is desirable
