ROLE

The Site Payment Specialist is an important member of the Alira Health Clinical team. The Site Payment Specialist manages study-specific site payment processes for clinical trials. The Site Payment Specialist works closely with the Finance team and Clinical Project Managers to ensure all site payments are made in accordance with signed contracts and budgets.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES 

  • Processes invoices and site payments from start-up activities to reconciliation and study close-out.

  • Conducts review of electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs) to verify the visits and assessments that are ready for payment.

  • Responds to inquiries from sites and sponsors efficiently and effectively.

  • Follows up with clinical sites to resolve any payment issues.

  • Assists Finance team with collection of W-9s and other financial documents.

  • Complies with and ensures team compliance with ICH GCP guidelines, FDA regulations, and company SOPs.

  • Participates in internal, client/sponsor, scientific, and other meetings as required.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned 

DESIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • BS/BA from an undergraduate program or equivalent experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical / biotechnology / CRO industry

  • Understanding of budget and payments terms in contracts, amendments, and ancillary agreements

TECHNICAL COMPETENCES & SOFT SKILLS 

  • Proven ability to be careful, thorough, and detail-oriented

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, yet less structured team environment 

  • Ability to problem-solve unstructured or ambiguous challenges 

  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customer service orientation 

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel 

  • Permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
