Machine Learning Intern, Perception (Computer Vision) at Motional

📋 Description

• Support end-to-end perception-to-planning models for autonomous driving
• Analyze multi-modal sensor data (images, video, lidar, radar)
• Conduct experiments to evaluate and benchmark models
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate outputs
• Document experiments and results clearly and reproducibly

🎯 Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in CS, ML, Robotics
• Proficient in Python and/or C++
• Coursework or projects in computer vision and ML
• Familiar with PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience with sensor data (images, video, point clouds)
• Experience in autonomous driving or robotics (preferred)
• Exposure to end-to-end models or planning
• Experience with 3D perception or multi-sensor fusion
• Familiar with evaluation datasets for autonomous systems
• Projects on foundation models or perception-to-action pipelines
