Summary

The Commercial Business Analyst specializes in enabling the commercial teams with actionable insight. This role is responsible for the development, implementation and administration of business insight tools. May also assist in compliance tracking, territory alignment, reporting, quota management, and sales process optimization. 

Job Responsibilities

Identify key metrics of value from complex business operations

Calculates ROI and measures impact of work for commercial initiatives

Report and provide insight to enable decision-making and strategic planning of the commercial team

design and implement visualization and dashboards that promote self-service and track key metrics in support of the commercial objectives

work with technical and non-technical team members to understand business processes and source the data necessary for key metrics

write SQL queries and join logic to support the commercial data needs and sales performance

assists with training of analytics tools

Education, Experience, and Skills

Bachelor’s Degree required

2-5 years of experience supporting a commercial organization with a sales team of 50+ reps

Ability to maintain professional accuracy and deadlines

Experience with New York State-licensed laboratory preferred

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position. The employee will work from a home office or other suitable remote location with reliable high-speed internet access. Work is performed in a climate-controlled environment using standard office equipment including computer, phone, and video conferencing tools. Your standard work schedule and hours will be established in collaboration with your leader and may be adjusted to align with evolving business needs.

Physical Demands

This is a sedentary role requiring prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer. Physical demands include:

Sitting for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day)

Repetitive use of hands and fingers for typing and mouse operation

Visual acuity for reading computer screens and documents

Ability to communicate effectively via phone and video calls

Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds (office supplies, equipment)

Pay Transparency, Budgeted Range

$80,000—$90,000 USD
