Technical Writer (Remote) at ZenRows

The Role

ZenRows is looking for a Technical Writer who is obsessed with creating the best web scraping content in the world.

You’ll join our Growth Team (100% remote) and take full ownership of our technical content strategy and execution. This is not a “write what you're told” position — this is a build, experiment, improve, dominate kind of role.

Your mission?
Make ZenRows the #1 educational resource for web scraping.

What you’ll be doing:

• Writing world-class web scraping tutorials (Python, Node.js, and beyond)
• Creating and improving technical documentation for our growing global user base
• Producing technical content across multiple formats and platforms — including Medium articles, landing page copy, GitHub repositories, README files, and developer-focused microsites
• Updating and optimizing older content to maintain industry-leading quality
• Publishing comparison guides, concept explainers, and developer-focused deep dives
• Collaborating closely with SEO, Customer Success, Product, and Growth
• Bringing new content ideas proactively — we expect you to think, not just execute
• Potentially creating video-based educational content (nice to have)

You’ll work closely with:

• SEO Manager
• Technical Editor
• Customer Success Manager
• Full-Stack Developer
• The broader Growth Team

The Person

We’re looking for a builder who writes — not just a writer who codes occasionally.

You likely:

• Have built multiple projects using Python or Node.js
• Understand web scraping fundamentals
• Have 2+ years of content writing experience, including at least 1 year writing technical content
• Can explain complex technical concepts simply and clearly
• Feel comfortable exploring additional languages when needed
• Are confident writing tutorials, comparisons, and conceptual content
• Have strong written English skills (we are an English-first organisation)
• Communicate clearly and directly — we value clarity over corporate polish
• Are highly organised and detail-oriented
• Are proactive, transparent, and accountable
• Are comfortable in a high-autonomy environment

Bonus points if you:

• Have created technical video content
• Have worked in SaaS or developer-focused companies
• Understand SEO fundamentals
• Have experience using scraping tools, APIs, or automation frameworks
