Data Analyst Sr

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our remote LATAM team supporting US operations as a contractor. The role focuses on People Analytics, leveraging SQL and Power BI to deliver high-impact insights, manage tickets, and ensure data quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. People Analytics ServiceNow Tickets:

  • Triage issues assist users with requests (e.g., access tasks), and troubleshoot Power BI reports.
  • Create tickets for TPE or Data Architecture teams on data quality issues and follow up on existing cases.

2. SQL Query Development

  • Write queries for ad-hoc requests.
  • Perform root cause analysis for data quality issues in databases or Power BI Semantic Models.

3. Power BI Reporting

  • Create new or enhance existing reports under data governance guidelines.
  • Develop technical documentation.
  • Assist with documentation requiring technical expertise

4. Python/R Scripting

  • Run and troubleshoot biweekly simple R scripts and monthly complex Python scripts (data
    cleaning/automation).

Additional Duties

• Perform root cause analysis for data quality issues across databases and Power BI Semantic
Models.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.

• 4+ years in data analysis/People Analytics.

• SQL (Advanced): Expertise in SQL Server or Snowflake for complex query development,
performance optimization, window functions, CTEs, and stored procedures. Must handle large
datasets and perform efficient root cause analysis across multiple data sources.

• Power BI (Expert Level): Deep knowledge of DAX (advanced measures, time intelligence,
iterators), Row Level Security (RLS) implementation for multi-tenant environments, Semantic
Model optimization (star schema design, incremental refresh), Power BI Service administration
(workspaces, apps, gateways), and advanced report troubleshooting.

• Python (Intermediate): Proficiency in data cleaning with pandas/numpy, automation scripting
with standard libraries, working with APIs/JSON data, basic error handling, and scheduled task
execution. Experience debugging existing scripts and implementing small improvements.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Advanced english.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience migrating Tableau dashboards to Power BI

• PowerPlatform components (Power Apps, Power Automate)

• Microsoft Fabric workspace management and lakehouse pattern
