The Connectivity Product Manager will function as the Agile Product Manager leading a portfolio of DevOps Teams responsible for architecting, engineering, and supporting network technology in both Datacenter and Cloud environments. The role will report to the VP of Enterprise Network Connectivity.
Role Summary/Purpose
The Product Manager role is responsible for the strategy and execution of technology roadmaps that aligns business priorities, technology objectives, regulatory requirements, and infrastructure capabilities. They are responsible for realizing value from network infrastructure investments, automating, and optimizing processes, and ensuring overall network security and availability.
The Connectivity Product Manager will play a significant role with stakeholders from many business units and IT teams to provide end-to-end usage and technical capabilities for our users and customers. The successful candidate will analyze the current system, lead roadmap and project planning efforts, and will have ownership for delivering business value through technology investment.
Key Responsibilities
- This position plays a Technology Product Management role, leading strategy, developing a technical road map for network technology in both on-premises datacenters and the public cloud.
- Manage and monitor network infrastructure for faults, vulnerabilities, and performance problems to ensure we are meeting customer and client objectives.
- Deploy network security services and products to meet business, regulatory, and security requirements.
- Communicate & influence teams to understand technical stacks and initiatives to stakeholders & leadership.
- Plan and manage technology lifecycle events – end of life, end of support.
- Manage day to day fiscal responsibilities as well as yearly budget responsibilities and forecasting of connectivity products.
- Build team talent and manage multiple Agile DevOps Teams using Scaled Agile Framework.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand business objectives and priorities.
- Build solutions that comply with internal, industry (e.g., PCI), and government regulations (e.g., FedRAMP).
- Respond to internal and external audit requests providing detail to attest to compliance requirements.
- Manage strategic vendors and relationships in support of connectivity strategies and operational support.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years in Technology or 9+ years in Technology in lieu of a degree, with strong experience designing and implementing enterprise networking architectures, with a proven ability to operate with a big-picture mindset.
- Strong Proficiency with routing protocols (e.g., EIGRP, OSPF, BGP).
- Strong understanding of access control (e.g., RADIUS, TACACS+, SAML, OKTA).
- Strong understanding of end host security (802.1X, firewall, anti-virus, malware protection).
- Experience and understanding of encryption solutions (e.g., VPN, IPSec, MACSEC).
- Understanding of fabric traffic steering (e.g., Cisco ACI or VMWare NSX).
- Ability to design and execute a defense-in-depth security strategy.
- Strong technical acumen and aptitude.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and multi-task.
- Ability to lead teams of technical experts to set examples and guidance for team objectives.
- Strong leadership in support of employee skill growth and career pathing.
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Desired Skills/Knowledge
- Diagram skills (e.g., Visio, OmniGraffle, LucidChart).
- Industry Certifications in Security and/or Advanced Routing (e.g., Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto or Fortinet).
- Strong understanding of network security attack vectors (e.g., DDoS, Spoofing).
- Experience and understanding of Intrusion Detection and Prevention solutions and technologies (IDS/IPS).
