Education and CertificationBachelor's degree in Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or related field (Master's degree preferred)Valid California teaching credential, preferredCLAD, BCLAD, or English Learner Authorization
ExperienceMinimum 3-5 years of classroom teaching experience in Grades 6-8 ELADemonstrated experience teaching English Language Development or working with emergent bilingual studentsProven knowledge of California ELD standards and their application in the classroomExperience with curriculum review, instructional coaching, or educational materials development (preferred)
Knowledge and SkillsDeep understanding of California ELD standards and frameworkKnowledge of second language acquisition theory and best practices for ELD instructionFamiliarity with EL Education curriculum and instructional approach (preferred)Strong analytical and critical thinking skillsExcellent written communication skillsAbility to provide constructive, actionable feedbackProficiency with digital collaboration tools (Google Suite, Microsoft Office, project management platforms)
