Job Description
Key Responsibility: Tailored Insight Generation
- Partner with stakeholders across the firm to triage incoming requests, defining project scope, assessing feasibility, and recommending appropriate methodological approaches for both rapid response and longer-term project work.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of existing primary and secondary data sources to synthesize trends, provide context, and supplement syndicated research findings.
- Produce executive-ready research deliverables, including data visualization and written summaries.
- Publish tools, databases, and other tailored research deliverables originating from secondary research to our market of university recruiting professionals.
Key Responsibility: Trusted Advisorship
- Develop a nuanced understanding of Veris Insights’ past and current research work and leverage that knowledge to answer client questions about talent acquisition.
- Follow hot topics in talent acquisition to stay informed, anticipating the effects of regulatory changes, labor supply trends, and new technology adoption.
- Collaborate with and coach other research team members to use Rapid Insights data sources and methodologies on syndicated research projects.
Key Responsibility: Innovation & Process Improvement
- Use creative problem solving to develop sound methodologies when data is limited or ambiguous.
- Suggest and implement improvements to Rapid Insights workstreams and processes.
- Identify patterns in client demand and recommend opportunities to shift from reactive insight generation to proactive research delivery for emerging questions.
The Requirements:
- 2–4 years of experience conducting applied mixed-methods research.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with defined turnaround timelines.
- Interest in people management and mentoring.
- Demonstrated ability to translate either complex or limited data into clear, executive-ready narratives and actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
- Proficiency in business writing.
- Experience interpreting survey data and understanding survey methodology.
- Attention to detail and an eye for slide design.
- A growth mindset focused on self-driven, continual learning.
The Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with managing or mentoring others.
- Experience in market research, consulting, talent acquisition, university/early career recruiting, HR, or human capital consulting.
- Educational or experiential background in social science (psychology, economics, sociology, etc.) or a relevant business field (marketing, human resources/talent acquisition, communications).
The Compensation & Benefits Package:
- Salary: $72,500 to $80,000 annually, depending on experience
- Location: Remote-first within the U.S., with occasional travel to Washington, DC for in-person collaboration, team off-sites, or strategic planning
