Description
Job Summary
The role involves maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This includes overseeing data governance, defining the structure of the configuration management system, such as identifying Configuration Items (CIs), establishing naming standards, defining relationships, and supervising mapping and discovery activities. You will be critical in improving incident and problem management, streamlining change processes, optimising asset utilisation, mitigating risks, and aligning IT infrastructure with strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities
1.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ensure accurate CMDB development, implementation, and maintenance to support IT service management processes.
2.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Leads, educates and mentors critical stakeholders on developing and maintaining configuration management services, concepts, policies and procedures to deliver accurate reporting and metrics as needed.
3.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Providing advice and support during system deployments to ensure that change impacts across configuration items are understood and managed.
4.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Generate reports and insights from the CMDB to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 5+ years of proven experience in managing a CMDB in ServiceNow.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience building CMDB in the technology industry or within technical groups within a large, global organisation.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience with ServiceNow configuration management and Service Mapping.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 A strong understanding of IT infrastructure and data management principles.
Education
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
