Job Description
This role supports the Electrical division by assisting with the installation, maintenance, and service of industrial, residential, and commercial electrical systems under the direct supervision of a project lead. You’ll be responsible for hands-on work in the field that directly impacts the successful execution of high-quality electrical projects. Success in this role means actively learning the trade, contributing to job site safety and productivity, and progressing through your apprenticeship hours — all while upholding KE’s commitment to Safety, People, Passion, and Performance. What You’ll Do
You’ll be part of a team that gets things done, works with purpose, and takes pride in the results. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Support the installation, service, and maintenance of electrical systems under supervision
- Learn and apply knowledge of current electrical codes and best practices
- Gain experience with hand tools, power tools, and conduit bending (manual and hydraulic)
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and construction documents
- Work at heights, in restricted areas, and in various weather conditions
- Attend required continuing education courses to maintain registration
- Track and report work experience and education hours for licensing
- Follow all KE safety policies and procedures
- Travel to project sites, including occasional overnights or extended stays
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring
You’re someone who shows up ready to work hard, learn fast, and contribute to a team that takes pride in doing things right. Successful candidates typically bring:
- Registered 1st-year (0–2000 hours) Unlicensed Electrician
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to identify wire colors and follow instructions precisely
- Experience with hand and power tools preferred
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 100%), including overnight stays
- Valid driver’s license with safe driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Self-starter with a strong team mindset
Pay Range
We believe in paying for the value you bring to the team, and we aim to be competitive in every market we hire in.
Pay Range: $18 - $22 per hour plus potential per diem for travel and incentive opportunities.
