📋 Description

• Drive complex enterprise deals; lead negotiations across APAC, esp. JP.
• Build scalable templates, playbooks, and processes for commercial legal support.
• Be a strategic partner; advise APAC leadership; align with Sales, Partnerships, and Strategy on GTM and multi-jurisdiction deals.
• Enhance efficiency with data, tech, automation in the legal function.
• Collaborate globally with Airwallex’s legal, compliance, and risk teams on multi-jurisdiction deals.
• Contribute to culture of Airwallex legal team and APAC leadership.

🎯 Requirements

• Law degree from a top law school; 6+ years post-qualification experience; some experience at a top law firm.
• Fluency in Japanese (written and spoken) essential.
• Excellent communication, drafting, negotiation, and writing skills.
• Ability to translate complex legal and risk issues into clear, actionable guidance; manage multiple projects.
• High motivation; able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Nice-to-haves: fintech/high-growth experience; experience drafting technology transactions and SaaS agreements.
