Director, NPI Operations at Lightmatter

📋 Description

• Lead NPI Core Team to embed DFM/DFT for optical assembly and hybrid integration early.
• Drive Stage-Gate Proto to EVT, DVT, PVT focusing on 3D CPO and laser steps.
• Partner with Strategic Sourcing to qualify OSAT partners for Silicon Photonics packaging.
• Manage high-tech vendors (DFB lasers, optical substrates) and Tier-1 manufacturers.
• Own Ramp-to-Volume strategy; remove pilot-line bottlenecks in laser burn-in and optical coupling.
• Monitor FPY and drive yield improvements for wafer-level and module assembly.

🎯 Requirements

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or a relevant field.
• 10+ years of hardware operations or NPI experience in semiconductor, networking, or HPC.
• Deep understanding of semiconductor fabrication, advanced packaging (2.5D/3D), or optical assembly.
• Proven track record managing cross-functional teams and external manufacturing partners.
• MBA or MS in Supply Chain/Operations is a significant plus.
• Experience building supply chains for AI hardware accelerators, HPC clusters, or enterprise datacenter servers.
