About the Role
The VP, eCommerce is the senior-most digital commerce leader for Beyond Yoga and is responsible for driving daily demand, profitable growth, and long‑term customer value across all digital touchpoints. Reporting to the CEO of Beyond Yoga and serving as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), this role owns the eCommerce P&L and leads strategy and execution across site, lifecycle marketing, digital merchandising, customer care and experience.
This leader is deeply embedded in day‑to‑day business management, partnering closely with Finance to forecast, pace, and optimize demand, and working in close collaboration with Marketing to align acquisition strategy with inventory health, margin goals, and customer quality. The role is accountable for customer formation outcomes and downstream value, owning the digital experience, merchandising, and conversion performance that turn traffic into long‑term customers.
Through disciplined use of data, established tools, and cross‑functional collaboration, the VP, eCommerce ensures Beyond Yoga’s digital channel delivers sustained growth while reflecting the brand’s product strengths, customer expectations, and financial objectives.
What You’ll Do
Drive Daily Demand & Financial Performance
- Own the eCommerce P&L, including topline demand, margin, and contribution profit.
- Partner with Finance to manage hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly demand pacing, forecasts, and tradeoffs.
- Lead in‑season optimization across traffic, conversion, AOV, and retention using real‑time data and insights.
- Balance growth and profitability by coordinating promotional strategy, pricing decisions, inventory flow, and marketing investment.
Lead Customer Formation & Lifetime Value Growth
- Own customer formation and lifetime value as core business drivers, with clear accountability for activation, retention, repeat rate, and long‑term customer value.
- Define and lead the end‑to‑end customer lifecycle strategy, including the development and scaling of a loyalty program, ensuring acquisition supports sustained engagement, repeat behavior, and profitable growth.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Merchandising, and Finance to embed lifecycle marketing and retention performance into daily, weekly, and in‑season business management.
- Drive a disciplined test‑and‑learn culture focused on improving cohort quality, retention curves, repeat frequency, and lifetime value.
- Leverage first‑party data and performance insights to inform segmentation, personalization, and lifecycle programs that increase engagement and reduce churn.
- Ensure lifecycle strategies are fully integrated into the digital experience, merchandising approach, and conversion flows to maximize downstream value.
- Establish and own customer formation metrics as primary business KPIs, using them to guide prioritization, investment decisions, and tradeoffs.
Partner Closely with the SLT & Brand Teams
- Serve as the primary commercial partner to the VP, Marketing, aligning acquisition strategy and brand storytelling with daily demand targets, activation, and retention outcomes. While performance marketing channel execution is owned by Marketing, this role works in close partnership to ensure traffic is effectively converted, activated, and retained through the digital experience.
- Partner with Marketing to align brand marketing, content, lifecycle efforts, and commerce storytelling to drive full‑funnel performance, with particular focus on activation, repeat behavior, and lifetime value.
- Collaborate closely with the VP, Retail to increase omni‑channel customer participation, driving higher engagement, retention, and lifetime value across digital and physical touchpoints.
- Co‑own campaign planning, go‑to‑market calendars, and major moments across the year, ensuring alignment across Digital, Marketing, and Retail.
- Partner with the CFO and Finance leadership to align financial plans, demand forecasts, and investment decisions, ensuring growth strategies are grounded in profitability, pacing, and long‑range financial objectives.
Own the Digital Experience
- Set the vision for Beyond Yoga’s digital experience, translating Marketing‑led brand storytelling into a clear, intuitive, and product‑led customer experience.
- Lead site merchandising, storytelling, navigation, and conversion optimization with a relentless focus on driving demand against hourly, daily, and in‑season targets.
- Actively manage performance throughout the day, using real‑time data to adjust merchandising, messaging, and experience to maximize conversion and demand capture.
- Champion innovation in personalization, testing, and commerce capabilities in partnership with technology teams.
- Ensure flawless execution across launches, promotions, and peak moments.
Build & Lead a High‑Performing Team
- Inspire, develop, and lead a collaborative eCommerce organization grounded in accountability and outcomes.
- Foster strong cross‑functional partnerships across Marketing, Creative, Finance, Planning, Retail, and Product.
- Champion a culture of inclusion, agility, and continuous improvement consistent with Beyond Yoga’s values.
Who You Are
- 15+ years of experience in digital commerce or eCommerce leadership, ideally within apparel, activewear, or consumer brands.
- Proven experience owning an eCommerce P&L and driving daily demand in a dynamic retail environment
- Demonstrated success driving sustainable results in a high-growth organization
- Deep comfort partnering with Finance on forecasting, pacing, and profitability management.
- Strong track record of customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value growth.
- Highly collaborative leader with executive‑level influence and an ability to translate strategy into action.
- Data‑driven, customer‑obsessed, and energized by building brands through commerce.

This is a hybrid work schedule based in our San Francisco, CA or Culver City, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.
The expected starting salary range for this role is $233,600-$369,100 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
