Job Description

About Productable

Productable is a software and services company helping organizations make better investment decisions using a portfolio approach that directs resources to the highest-impact initiatives. Our configurable software platform embeds a decision methodology to operationalize portfolio discipline. We are in the early stages with a lean team and currently serve the DOW.

About the role

This role sits at the intersection of sales, solution architecture, and delivery. You engage once an opportunity is qualified and lead the work from discovery through configured deployment to measurable outcomes.

Sales at Productable is integrated with delivery: winning the work requires leading discovery—identifying core needs, conducting stakeholder interviews, structuring data and configuring the software environment to the client’s context.

You are accountable for converting opportunity into reality: shaping solutions, operationalizing our methodology in the client environment, running decision cadences, and delivering substantive outcomes.

Work is delivered through a combination of customer facing engagements, blending discovery, facilitation, and delivery (which frames problems and structures engagements) and software configuration (which operationalizes methodology and enables sustained decision discipline).

  • Structure agreements aligned with long-term strategy.

  • Expand footprint within accounts where appropriate.

    • Lead complex client work without junior staff.

    • Deliver measurable impact in senior-level engagements.

    • Ensure work withstands scrutiny from senior defense leaders.

    • Engage and influence Senior Defense Leaders

      • Facilitate decision-making conversations with senior leaders.

      • Advance actionable solutions in politically and institutionally complex environments.

              • Work with Research & Development to understand client needs.

Skills and Qualifications

We have described some experiences and qualifications that we think could lead to success in this role, but talented people come from all sorts of experiences. Apply and talk to us about what we might be missing.

  • 12+ years of executive-level experience.

  • Proven client-facing problem solver with a track record of delivering outcomes in high-stakes environments.

  • Relevant experience may include innovation or design consultancies, leading complex digital, agile, or enterprise transformation initiatives, and expertise in methodologies such as Danaher Business Systems, Lean Manufacturing, Lean Startup, Designing Thinking, or other highly methodical experimentation methodologies.

  • Experience in early-stage growth companies is preferred.

  • Understanding of defense acquisition and credibility with senior leaders (GS-15 to SES on the civilian side and O6 to GOFO on the military side), advancing substantive, practical solutions rather than promotional messaging.

  • Ability to rapidly internalize and operationalize new methodologies.

  • Skilled at navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and negotiating strategically sound, mutually beneficial agreements.

  • Comfortable operating without leverage—independently researching, analyzing, and delivering meaningful outcomes.

  • Capable of designing and implementing scalable systems in a growing organization.

  • Skilled facilitator of senior-level workshops, driving alignment, and guiding complex decision-making.
