📋 Description

• Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Lead close processes monthly, quarterly, and annually; manage audits.
• Partner with CFO to shape financial strategy and long-range plans.
• Build scalable accounting systems and manage cash flow, incl. R&D spend.
• Build internal finance team and oversee external vendors.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team.

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years in progressive finance and accounting with senior leadership
• Private life sciences/biotech experience with clinical and preclinical programs
• GAAP and biotech-specific accounting, incl. R&D accruals and clinical-trial accounting
• Experience leading budgeting, financial reporting, and long-range planning
• Experience building teams and system transitions/implementations
• Experience managing direct reports and external vendors
