Your Role: Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will be managing the organization’s day-to-day accounting and finance processes. They will collaborate with multiple departments across the organization. All while supporting the Director of Finance with month-end deliverables. Will have a major impact on financial reporting and treasury functions.


What you'll do:

  • Full cycle bookkeeping duties
  • Monthly journal entries for payroll, bank, corporate credit card and accruals
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and allocations to the correct departments and product lines
  • Work closely with creator operations team to ensure the payments for creator payouts is reconciled
  • Managing our corporate credit card platform and ensuring that all transactions are reflected in our reporting system
  • Manage our AP payments to vendors and vendor management
  • Manage all customer billing
  • Process cheques and wire payments
  • Work closely with other functional business leaders to develop monthly reporting dashboards and ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Documentation and monitoring of internal controls
  • In collaboration with the manger, identify opportunities for process Improvements
  • Identify accounting issues and provide recommendations for resolution
  • Preparation of year-end packages for audit firm, i.e. preparing the year-end trial balance, adjusting entries and reconciling accounts
  • Preparation of all reconciliations including bank, credit card, accounts payable and payroll
  • Monthly tax filings (HST)
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects, as assigned by the Manager or the Director

  • Ideally you'll have:

  • 3 - 5 years of proven experience in finance or accounting roles
  • Certified accounting designation (ie. CPA) is preferred
  • Strong with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Netsuite ERP systems
