Solar Manufacturing Lead at Muon Space

📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end solar lab setup (facility, ESD, climate) and workstation layout.
• Manage tech transfer with partners; document stringing, lamination, assembly.
• Qualify equipment; procure/commission laser cutters, laminators, solar simulators.
• Develop SOPs and Work Instructions for spacecraft requirements.
• Lead pathfinder to full-rate production; resolve bottlenecks and yield.
• Inline QA with EL and flash testing for space-grade reliability.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in solar module manufacturing or high-precision assembly.
• B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, or Electrical Eng or equivalent.
• Deep familiarity with PV module assembly (stringing, tabbing, encapsulation, lamination).
• Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing line establishment.
• Strong ability to work with external partners and translate IP into internal execution.
• Nice-to-have: space-grade PV, reliability standards, automation, CAD (SolidWorks).
