Mechanical Engineer at Octopus Energy

📋 Description

• Be the main interface between product design and field installation teams
• Identify improvement areas across design, installation, and processes
• Provide technical design guidance to field design teams
• Support heat pump installs with the field and operations teams
• Monitor COP/SCOP data, debug issues, and log improvements
• Travel to customer sites and Portadown/Belfast to work with R&D and manufacturing

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in mechanical engineering or similar
• 5+ years designing mechanical parts for heating/cooling systems
• Understanding of heat pump design and HVAC
• Experience with retrofit and new build heating/cooling installs
• Appreciation of smart electronic control systems for heating/cooling
