Staff Software Engineer - Full Stack (React, Node) at OpenGov

📋 Description

• Build and improve APIs, microservices, and frontend experiences for government.
• Own features end-to-end with Product/Design: define, build, ship, monitor.
• Build AI-powered features: data analysis, agent workflows, AI UX.
• Use AI-assisted tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to accelerate coding.
• Produce clean, well-documented code; review human- and AI-generated code.
• Collaborate to translate priorities into shipped features that drive success.

🎯 Requirements

• Have 10+ years of full-stack experience building scalable software.
• Strong experience with modern JS/TS (React or similar) and Node.js.
• Comfortable across frontend, backend, and data layer; ship end-to-end.
• Experience building heavily utilized enterprise SaaS software.
• Actively use AI-assisted development tools and gauge when they help.
• Experience building AI-powered features: agents, AI UX, workflows.
