Senior Derivative Accountant at Ripple

📋 Description

• Own end-to-end derivative accounting for swaps, forwards, options.
• Prepare/review hedge documentation—designation memos, objectives, testing.
• Execute hedge effectiveness assessments (quantitative & qualitative).
• Prepare journal entries and disclosures; respond to client inquiries.
• Apply judgment on hedge elections — fair value, cash flow, net investment.
• Advise clients on structuring hedges to optimize effectiveness.

🎯 Requirements

• CPA required; advanced degree in Accounting or Finance a plus.
• 5+ years with derivative instruments and hedge accounting.
• Deep fluency in ASC 815 and IFRS 9; hedge elections and disclosures.
• Experience managing multiple client engagements; organized and deadline-driven.
• Strong communicator; explain complex accounting to non-technical audiences.
• Experience with hedge accounting platforms (Ripple Treasury, Reval, etc.) preferred.
